Fiona's 6 Month Photo's
Fiona is a cutie little baby girl. She is Chris' cousins second child and we both love her to death. I love her pink little nose! She looks like a little baby bird and is totally precious. I took some photo's to mark her 1/2 birthday and she was so cooperative and made tons of great facial expressions!

Besties unite!
Last week Chris and I both had the flu. He visited the hospital on Tuesday morning and I went 24 hours later. It was real bad. I can't believe how it knocked us out. I take advantage of ALL sick days, but Chris never really has been that type. He took his very first sick day on Monday and it was followed by two more days at home on the couch. We were pretty miz.
A few weekends before we got sick I went down to visit Erin in Alexandria. Arianne even flew in for the occasion. It was GLORIOUS! We toured around DC Friday and Arianne got a bazillion stupid stamps in her National Parks stamp book...NERD! We got to go to Old Ebbitt's and have some yummy drinks. Saturday we went to Georgetown which was a beautiful shopping mecca and had to watch the dumb football game. However, I did get grilled cheese and tomato soup so that made me happy.
We ended up having a crazy night out on Saturday in Arlington. We met up with T-Mac and TJ and drank 300 beers. I woke up the next day in Erin's bed still in my clothes from the night before. Arianne was yelling we had to get up and go to the airport...I was still drunk.

David Gray
Mich and I went and saw David Gray on Friday. It was unbelievable. I've been to A TON of concerts and this ranks in the top 3 quality wise. He sounded great live and everything was just simple and enjoyable. Plus seeing someone like DG at the Wang is amazing! The picture above is of the lobby. The theater itself is equally as breath taking.

Shower
I was just transferring pictures onto discs for filing and realized I didn't blog about Kelly's shower. Janelle is born and a cute little lovie already, but before she was born her grandmother gave her mom a glorious shower. Cathy (grandma) gave Michelle and I free-reign when it came to decorations and center pieces. Mich and I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas, but the execution was the tough part. In the end everything came out super cute and was worth all cutting, pasting, stirring, and piping.

A tiny bed in Sebago
We went to Sebago this weekend with big ideas of drinking, dancing, partying, and karaokeing...unfortunately for Kiley this was not to be. After spending time in a tiny bed in a closet in the trailer we rented and yesterday in bed I finally made it to the doctor today and he said I had Sciatica...I still don't really understand what this stupid diagnosis is, but we'll see if the meds he gives me works. I'm pretty miz and am on the brink of bed sores.

Glorious Glee
LOVING this show! Sam showed me the pilot when I was in NJ for Marissa's 30th. Obviously I love musicals and have never hidden that fact. Now a musical tv show with teen drama...LOVE. I think that Rachel had to at some point be based on Tracy Flick from Election. Oh and Kurt...how much I love you! Really the dance to Single Ladies in the beginning of last weeks episode was outrageous.

Cancer Gift Baskets
My moms friend Kate asked me to help with her Cancer Gift Basket project. She sells baskets with lots of goodies to help people during their treatments. A breast cancer survivor herself she found out what works and lots of times for stuff other than what its for. She asked me to work on the tags. I wanted a little cartoon Kate to put on the tags and I couldn't find something I liked or come up with something myself...so I south parked her! And she needed a male counterpart for men diagnosed so here is her buddy Duff! He is a lymphoma survivor and allegedly modeled after my moms cousin...living in a small town tends to make every other person your cousin.

Here's what we've been working on....
The craft fair is October 17th so Mich and I have been sewing and crafting when the mood strikes. For me,that usually means a stint of 4 hours of straight sewing.
Here are a few things I've done this week. I didn't actually sew the dress or the onesies...just embellished them. I did however make the apron...I can do those with my eyes closed at this point!
A lil caterpillar
Obviously baby boys need the option to look dapper
Sweet Little Cupcake Onesie
I heart aprons!
these are just a few of the items that will be on sale at the craft fair on October 17th! Be sure to come support Friends for Friends RFL Team!

We're going for it!
A craft fair being 'it'! Mich and I are going to be selling some of our glorious yet to be made sewing projects at a craft fair. While a craft fair is 80's and probably makes you think of hand panted wooden cut outs...Mich and I are taking it to another level! Coffee Cuffs, Key Chains, Aprons, Luggage Bands, and any other crazy thing we can come up with will be for sale. All the proceeds go to benefit my Mother mother's Relay For Life Team; Friends For Friends! We need to get sewing.

I know I fell behind...
but it was for a good reason, not just being lazy.
My computer DIED....and I had to go to Cali for work. While I wasn't too enthused with traveling 4,000 miles for a 3 hour meeting with a crappy loaner computer I did get to visit with friends..which is always fantastic. I got to see lots of amigos and amigas as well as eat at Kemosabe! Good Things Growing may be my favorite meal item ever!
While I was away a sweet little baby girl was born. We've all been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Brancaleone and she came just before I boarded my plain to Oakland.
Janelle Olivia Brancaleone of the Branc2 is the cutest! I got to meet her yesterday and love love love her. She is not only blessed with amazing parents, but a seriously loving Auntie Mich and Uncle Mink who are going to spoil her rotten. I brought my camera along for our first rendezvous and only took 167 photos.

First Night & some Bill Simmons
Last night was the first night by myself in doeviswood! Chris is out in Cali for work and it was just the loafster and I. It's wicked quiet. Thankfully I'm reading a baseball book instead of something scary or else I'd be sleeping with a henkle next to the bed.
Speaking of baseball.....
Anyone whose a Boston sports fan knows Bill Simmons. I think he is hilarious. I had the opportunity to meet him a few years back at a book signing. He definitely has OCD.
Speaking of bill Simmons.....
I'm not much of a basketball fan...not yet anyway. Being back home may be the catalyst for an obsession with the Celtics, but we shall see. However, this article is AMAZING! Really...using quotes from Almost Famous...my favorite movie to explain the NBA free-agent buying spree:

Family Photo Shoot
I am NOT a photographer.
I love photography. I love to look at it, read about it, and even participate in the activity myself...but I am NOT a photographer.
With that said...I took some photo's of a family members sister in laws kids (confused?).
The mom told the kids that I was a corrections officer and my attire choice for the day helped the stories believability as I was wearing camo capris.
At this point I have come to the conclusion that I NEED photoshop, but with a new house and winter coming I have other priorities. IE fabric for curtains and warm clothes for cold nor-eastern days.

We Are Homeowners
Chris and I passed papers on Friday and moved mere minutes later! We couldn't wait to get started. I am in love with my house and can't believe it's mine. I feel like such a big kid! I've already started 'putting holes all over the walls' as my dad said, but they are MY WALLS!!! I can't believe how generous everyone in our life has been. I even got my first delivery to the house...flowers from the Brancs.
We don't have internet yet (tomorrow) so I haven't uploaded the photo's yet. They'll follow soon.

Family Photo's
One of the best parts of living back home is that we get to see family often. It seems like there is a cookout, birthday, graduation, or something going on every weekend. A few weeks back we celebrated Nana Rodgers 80th birthday! The Rodgers family ALWAYS provides me with plenty of material for great photos.

Gloucester Tri
Chris decided out of the blue to participate in the Gloucester Triathlon. He was worried he wouldn't make it out of the water, but did much better than that. He finished the entire race in 1:37:09!!!! It was so amazing to see him in three different events within 2 hours time. I was lucky enough to catch him coming out of the water, both laps on the bike, and both laps of the run.

I'm back!
Ok...I am back. I needed to take a little break. We have SOOOOOOOOOOOO very much going on in our lives right now its hard to wrap my brain around it all.
Between planning a wedding, buying a house, and the necessary house furniture/stuff I am flustered.
This past weekend I went down to Dirty Jersey for Marissa's 30th Birthday! She is no longer 'almost thirty', which she'd been saying for a good 10 years now. It was a fantastic time and everyone had a great time.
